CLAUDIE OSSARD

Producer Claudie Ossard Paris, je t'aime is Claudie Ossard's last project

Claudie Ossard began her career in advertising and it wasn’t until 1980 when she broke into cinema by producing Telephone Public, a feature directed by Jean-Marie Perier. She followed this up in 1986 with Betty Blue (37°2 Le Matin) which created a sensation not just in France but overseas and helped to make stars of Beatrice Dalle and Jean-Hugues Anglade and forged the reputation of director Jean-Jacques Beineix. Her collaboration with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet in 1991 also proved significant – she produced three of his ground-breaking films comprising Delicatessen, The City of Lost Children ( La Cite Des Enfants Perdus) and Amelie ( Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain). She has also worked with such film-makes as Emir Kusturica on Arizona Dream. The ambitious portmanteau project Paris je t’aime is her latest offering. Last year FFF UK screened another of her films Mon Ange with Vanessa Paradis by emerging film-maker Serge Frydman.
